Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

In short

Rawframe collects no data. It has no account, no ads and no tracking, and your videos never leave your device.

This page covers the app first, and then, separately, this website.

The app collects no data

In the App Store, Rawframe carries the privacy label “Data Not Collected”.

There is no account. There are no analytics, no ads and no crash reporting from third parties. The app makes no network connections at all.

Your videos stay on your device

Rawframe reads the video you pick locally on your device. While you work, it keeps a temporary working copy in the app’s own storage, which the system clears automatically.

Nothing is uploaded. The developer runs no server for the app and never sees your videos or your frames.

Access to Photos

On iPhone and iPad, Rawframe asks for add-only access to Photos. It is used only to save frames you choose to save. It cannot read your library.

Picking a video goes through Apple’s system picker, which only hands over the one video you choose.

On Mac

Rawframe only sees the files you open or drop into the window. Saved frames go where you choose in the save dialog.

This website

This section is about the website, not the app. The site has a simple visitor counter that runs on the website’s own server and is shared by Lars’ websites. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and uses no third-party services. The site loads no external fonts or scripts.

To tell visits apart, the server computes a hash of your IP address, your browser’s user agent and a secret salt. The salt changes every night and is never kept, so visits cannot be linked across days. Your raw IP address is not stored.

The counter records the page path, where the visit came from as a category (for example “google”), the device type, the browser family and the browser language. These are kept as aggregated counts.

Children

Rawframe collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
